How does FreightHub screen for fraud?

Updated Sep 23, 2026 · 1 min read · For carriers, brokers and shippers

Every carrier and broker MC number is checked with FMCSA when the account is created, and every business account is reviewed by our team before it can use the board. When a carrier books a load, we check the MC with FMCSA again: a carrier that isn't authorized to operate, has an Unsatisfactory or Conditional safety rating, or has no active insurance on a live authority can't book. Each booking also gets a fraud score that combines the FMCSA record, how the account behaves and past fraud reports, and a high-risk score blocks the booking. If a booking was refused and you think it's wrong, email support from your account address with your MC number.
